data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>Unsere Geschichte<\/h2><p>Die Ortschaft erscheint in den Urkunden erstmals im Jahre 1201, als ein Adeliger aus Berlingen der Abtei Himmerod ein Gut bei Kirchweiler vermachte. Unbestrittener Landesherr war ab 1398 das Erzstift Trier. 1600 registrierte man 16 Feuerstellen in dem zwischenzeitlich zur Herrschaft von Daun und zur Herrschaft der Kasselburg geh\u00f6renden Dorf. Die Zahl sank im Zuge der Pest und dem Drei\u00dfigj\u00e4hrigen Krieg bis 1654 auf nur noch 6 Haushalte ab. 1684 konnte bereits eine Steigerung auf 10 festgestellt werden, was in etwa 50 Einwohnern entsprechen w\u00fcrde. Zu dieser Zeit lebten die Einwohner Kirchweilers haupts\u00e4chlich von der Landwirtschaft. In diesem Bereich waren 1624 11 der 13 Haushalte t\u00e4tig, daneben gab es einen Handwerker und einen Einwohner ohne Beruf. Die Bev\u00f6lkerung wuchs bis ins 19. Jahrhundert weiter an. Kirchweiler kam 1815 zum K\u00f6nigreich Preu\u00dfen. 1862 lebten 376 Menschen in Kirchweiler.
